Over 100 billion retainers have left our factory since its foundation in 1933. If lined up alongside each other, the length of these precision parts would encircle the globe 20 times over.

"In the last 75 years much has changed, but one thing has not: our demands."

In 1933, when Hugo Benzing founded the firm that bears his name, he had already anticipated the profound changes which retaining and locking parts would bring about in the world of technology. For that reason he concentrated his creative efforts in that field. Amongst other things he initiated the development of a profile-grinding machine which, for the first time, made it possible to manufacture non-circular shapes. His inventiveness and creative drive also led to the manufacture of the DIN 6799 circlip, which was patented by the Benzing company. Many other proprietary rights and patents followed because, in the spirit of our founder, we are constantly working on developing new technologies and products for our clients. Our customers are found in every imaginable field - automotive and aerospace industries are as well represented as those in the precision mechanics and electrotechnical industries. Wherever something moves in the world, BENZING components are almost involved.
